Full Job Description:
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP (bi-weekly orientation)
Guaranteed Hours: 72hrs biweekly 1 cancellation allowed per 2-week period
Primary Location: Humboldt Park Health
• Chicago, IL Shift Requirements: 12 Hour Nights Float Requirements: Throughout the hospital units
• ED, ICU, MSP, L&D, nursery, outpatient diagnostic center (all for RT tasks) On Call/Call Back Requirements: NA Weekend/Holidays: every other weekend,& holiday rotation Required Certifications: BLS, NRP, and CRT or RRT. IL RCP required. Minimum Experience: 1 years. Vent, EKG, and ABG experience required. Charting Experience Required: MediTech, but not required Unit Specific Skillset: Level 2 Nursery/NICU experience
• low flow vapotherm and also assist in intubation or set up on ventilator until transfer out to a higher level. Unit Overview: More than 1 unit, Approximately 5 therapies to deliver per round + oxygen management. Each RT has their own unit but call each other as needed. Unit Information (Bed size, Case type, Patient ratio): Units are 25 beds. RTs typically have 2 units but not all patients are seen by an RT. Will see COVID patients as well. Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates: Able to manage independently and complete tasks timely Scrub Colors: Grey COVID Vaccine Requirements: COVID Vaccination is required unless medical/religious declination is applicable. Declination must be approved by committee prior to start date. GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed. 12 hours non-billable orientation.
