Unit Notes:need 2 sup refs (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 w/in 12 mo. & 1 w/in 3 years worked Modules are required to be done before start of assignment. Modules take on average 3-4 hours to complete-this time is not billable to the hospital. For Holiday RTO: Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years). Unit managers will make the final call on scheduling, but we would include this verbiage on the confirmation. Holiday time off will be considered, however not guaranteed Profiles will go directly to the unit for consideration UNIT NEEDs A NICU TRAINED RRT THAT HOLDS EXPERIENCE INTUBATING DURING DELIVERIES WITHIN THE LAST 90 DAYS This role requires newborn intubation skills Department: RT # treatments per day: 30 treatments per 12 hour shift Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS and CRT OR RRT acceptable Types of patients (adults, peds, and neonates?) Adult Patients In-patient, Emergency Room, Floors, ICU Experience or 'Must have' skill: Basic Respiratory Assessment & treatment skills Job Duties: Aerosol therapy, Secretion mobilization, Lung expansion, Endotracheal tube & tracheostomy management, Noninvasive Ventilation, Oxygen Modalities, Mechanical ventilation, No ABG's Are RTs Required to be able to Intubate Independently or only to assist? Assist with Intubation only (No intubation directly). Respiratory Manager/Supervisor/Lead Therapist? Always a RT Shift Lead present each shift RT Leader on Call Present M-F and available 24/7 Shifts & Scheduling : Scheduling by needs, Each shift consists of 7-15 RT's per shift., Contract worker would never be only RT present.
