Unit Notes:Department: Respiratory Therapy Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS* Need Adult through NICU experience
• Types of patients (adults, peds, and neonates?): adults and neonates, rare Peds for ED stabilization and transfer
• What areas do they cover (Inpatient, Outpatient, ER, Rehab, Sleep Lab, etc.): Inpatient
• Med Surg, Emergency room, ICU/PCU, PACU, pre op and NICU. Bedside or OR bronchs
• Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must be able to perform EKGs, bedside bronchs, and bedside spirometry
• Is there a Respiratory Manager/Supervisor/Lead Therapist on each shift?: Lead
• RT Equipment (Brand for Vents, Cpap, Bipap, High Flow): Draeger, Avea, Hamilton vents, V60 Bipap, Airvo Hi Flow, Volaira for CPEP
• Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 0630-1900, 1830-0700 // team scheduling
• Weekend Requirements: Every other
• Holiday Requirements: Every other
• Floating Requirements: All areas within the hospital
• How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 2-12 hour shifts
• Additional Notes: Attributes to help a therapist be successful in this department include being dependable, hard working, patient centered, initiative, efficient, positive outlook, and experience in Critical Care areas as well as NICU and MedSurg Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
